The Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) has created a new strategy called PATIENT SAFETY RIGHT NOW. You can hear the urgency in our call to action to focus on demonstrating what works and strengthening commitment to patient safety in Canada…right now! Your support is needed for the successful implementation of measurable, sustainable patient safety improvement. Initiatives need to be evaluated to determine what works. Patients need to be involved in their own care. The evidence of what works then needs to be translated in to sustainable, committed standard practices for practitioners and providers at all levels of our health care system, across the country. We are so excited to see how our role will evolve over the coming years as we prevent patient safety incidents from occurring. Together we can make the global culture of safe care a reality. The time for patient safety is RIGHT NOW!
