Abstract
Description
Are you interested in working with student journal editorial boards on campus but not really sure what it entails? We can help! This 60-minute workshop will go over the basics of the peer-review process and how to be a good peer reviewer. In the first 30 minutes, we'll give you some background and cover: What is peer-review and why is it done? What is the academic publishing process and where peer review fits in?
What are the benefits of being a peer-reviewer and how can I become one?
In the second 30 minutes, we’ll look more closely at the peer review process and what kinds of support or tools are available to you. We’ll also talk more about what makes a good peer review and work through examples of how to write good constructive feedback.
