Abstract
Description
This repository contains daily animations of eddy kinetic energy (EKE) and associated baroclinic (BC) and barotropic (BT) energy conversion terms from 2008 to 2018 in the western Labrador Sea. The animations show surface-layer fields averaged over the upper 316 m. These visualizations are generated from a very high-resolution NEMO ocean–sea ice model configuration with a 1/60° nested grid over the Labrador Sea. They are intended to illustrate the temporal evolution of submesoscale to mesoscale variability and the associated instability processes along the Labrador Current.
