Abstract
Description
MPLS based VPLS is proven L2VPN technology delivering Ethernet based Services. However Ethernet and its requirements are continually changing due to modernization of Networks, Ethernet Service model such as separation of Data and Control plane, MEF based service delivery etc. In order to meet those requirements EVPN are introduced in the industry under L2VPN IEFT Working Group. Intent of project is research EVPN, its requirements, its various implementation methods and comparing it with VPLS to justify its relative benefits.
