Abstract
Description
Network functions virtualization disaggregates the network functions from the network hardware. As a result, functions, such as NAT, firewalling, IPS and DNS etc. can be delivered in software and deployed on the commodity hardware instead of specialized network hardware. This gives enterprises and service providers a lot more flexibility in the way they design, deploy and manage the network services. (As cited in introduction.) *Publication date not found.
