dc.descriptionKeynote from LIBRARIANS, MEET WORLD: Cultural Engagement and Inclusive Access in Libraries: Danielle Heavy Head is a member of Kainai, a Blackfoot tribe situated in between the Old Man River; the Belly River; & the Saint Mary’s River. Her father is Blackfoot and her mother is Cree from the Ermineskin tribe, which is part of the Maskwacis reserve. Danielle and her partner Ryan started doing repatriations for the Blackfoot and other Native groups from 1995 to 2006. They also created the Blackfoot Digital Library (www.Blackfootdigitallibrary.com), which she currently cares for at the University of Lethbridge Library.
