Description
This qualitative study was conducted to examine and analyse public library strategic plans in order to understand current themes and future priorities within the unique economic and political environment of Alberta, Canada. Content analysis was used as the primary research method, and strategic planning documents from rural and urban libraries were the sources of data. This study sheds light on common and different priorities between rural and urban public libraries regarding community services, programs, and emerging professional trends.
