Abstract

Description

The old sealers' iron trypot from South Georgia was found on King Edward Point, Grytviken, where it stood near the Magistrate's house until 1952. It is probably late 18th or early 19th century. It was gifted to the Museum in 1952 by Sir Miles Clifford (1897-1986), Anthropologist and Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Falkland Islands.
