Description
The article examines the privacy and access to information issues have emerged in relation to the collection and use of human tissue for genetic and cell-based research in Canada. Topics discussed include individuals' rights of access to and control over the research use and disclosure of genetic information; limitations on the individual's right to withdraw consent to the use of his or her biological material for research purpose; and Canadian privacy law.
