Description
These are the proceedings for the First Colloquy on Northern Library Resources. This volume contains the notes from eight sessions held over two days. There were 23 participants and 3 observers. Participants were mainly from Canada and the United States, with one coming from England. Sessions discussed: contents of northern collections, classification and organization of northern collections, disseminating the contents of northern collections, cooperative schemes among northern libraries, library user needs in the North and bibliographic services for northern users, use of computers in northern libraries, subject headings for northern topics, issues in specialized northern library research, future activities of the Colloquy,
